We WON the GBS COMPETITION!!!!!!!!!!!

Our eyes popped out of our heads today at the sight of $3000 stuck on a gift wrapped pinboard. We send out a HUGE thank you to all the friends and family members of students and staff who made our win possible. A photographer was present and we may yet see a photo in the local newspaper.
We are currently brainstorming and daydreaming of what we can buy for the school with this super little windfall and the school community will be told when a decision has been made.
P.S. My class of 5 year olds want a rollercoaster starting on the field and ending up in the pool!!

We were also treated to another superb performance by the Kapa haka group.
They are performing in the Koanga festival tomorrow and we wish them well.
As always, Mrs Bodley looks on admiringly.

Chess

Our chess team came 4^th out of 11 teams at the recent interschool championships. There were very close results and our team members were amongst the youngest in age. An outstanding effort was made by Aidan, Macka, Henry, George and Nigel. Well done.
