Junior School visit The Auckland Art Gallery:

The Junior Team visited The Auckland Art Gallery- Toi o Tamaki to take part in their educational programme entitled, “Signs and Symbols.”
It primarily involved the curriculum areas of visual art and social studies, with the opportunity to experience aspects of art appreciation.
We also took part in an interactive art lesson with professionals in the gallery’s educational studio looking at symbols used in celebrations. A focus was Matariki – Maori New Year.
Students ate their lunch surrounded by the statues and sculptures in Albert Park.

Travelwise:

We had a guest speaker come and talk to us about how to get to and from school safely.  We put stickers on map of our school zone to show how students travel to school. We answered lots of road safety questions and won stickers.
