Jolly Jumping Jellybeans
Room 7 in hats
How about that!

Room 7 students enjoyed designing and decorating their hats as a response to the class shared book Jolly Jumping Jellybeans.  They carefully cut and glued a variety of paper patterns to make their hats colourful and bright. Provided by JT.

Senior School Technology Challenge.

Here is the blurb about our Senior School Technology Challenge.

Last week the students in the Senior School took part in a Technology Challenge as part of their Unit of Inquiry on Weather.  Using a polystyrene tray, straws, paper and cellotape they had to work in groups to construct a cyclone proof house.  At the end of 20 minutes a leaf blower was used to test which structures would withstand the force of such wild weather.
The Key Competencies involved were collaboration and problem solving
We had a number of innovative solutions that withstood the test of the winds.  All students were enthusiastic and enjoyed the challenge.  Some of these students will be invited to take part in the Interschool Challenge representing our school later this year. Provided by FC.

Reading Rocks Concert:

Adrian came today and shared his love of reading with us. His message was that Reading Rocks and if he hadn't listened to his teachers he wouldn't be able to juggle, or balance balls, or ride a unicyle.... because he wouldn't be able to read the instructions on how to do it. He was highly entertaining and a  big hit. LJ.

We Are An Enviro School:

A written piece will be placed here shortly. Room 2 are currently working on it.LJ.
