Senior School Technology Challenge.

Here is the blurb about our Senior School Technology Challenge.

Last week the students in the Senior School took part in a Technology Challenge as part of their Unit of Inquiry on Weather.  Using a polystyrene tray, straws, paper and cellotape they had to work in groups to construct a cyclone proof house.  At the end of 20 minutes a leaf blower was used to test which structures would withstand the force of such wild weather.
The Key Competencies involved were collaboration and problem solving
We had a number of innovative solutions that withstood the test of the winds.  All students were enthusiastic and enjoyed the challenge.  Some of these students will be invited to take part in the Interschool Challenge representing our school later this year. Provided by FC.
