Mrs Riach and her Enviro-Group came up with the idea of each class developing a culturally themed totem pole and here are some of them. Some are finished and others will be within the next day or so.
Thank you Mrs Riach for your hard work putting in all the poles with your team of helpers.
They look fantastic.

BBPS's Got Talent
Ms Hampton. Ms Gordon and Miss Williams are the judges of the
competition and competitors are lining up for a go.
Friday was the first of many Fridays worth of tryouts and standards were very high. It is being held at lunchtimes and is for fun only.
Competitors have to be totally self sufficient and come with all they need. The talented AV monitors keep the microphones and music running smoothly.

Badminton Coaching
We were fortunate to have one of our parents,
Rhona Bramwell, offer to take each class for a ‘taster’ session of
badminton. Rhona works for Auckland
Badminton. Rhona’s playing Career
spanned 2 decades where she represented NZ for 15 years and competed at 2
Olympics and 4 Commonwealth Games, winning 3 Commonwealth Bronze medals.
Each session was 30 minutes long and was in the hall. Teachers stayed with their classes to help with supervision and to watch and learn as well!
It was great fun and we are lucky that BBPS already had a class set of racquets so classes can keep up the games and skills we learned.
Thanks, Rhona.
