Powhiri for Korean Students and their Officials:
This morning we had a very formal assembly welcoming 22 visiting nine to
eleven year old Korean students. They are having home-stays with some
of our school families. We were very proud of all the children;
especially the kapahaka and the six girls who took part in the karanga.
It was very special. The Korean students are here to enjoy a 'kiwi
schooling experience' and are assimlating into the senior classes. They
finished their first day today doing Maori art with Mrs Winn. Please
enjoy these photos and movies below. Sorry about the quality but I
filmed them on my little camera. LJ.

ASB Get Wise Visitor.
Every class is having a visit from Evan teaching money saving skills this week.
He transforms into a "Money Saving Superhero" and is fantastic with the children.
He even incorporates Te Reo into the lesson.
I am typing this in as he entertains the class. They are hanging on his every word and chanting the little chant he has for each denomination of coin!
Make sure you ask your child about what they learned today.
